A Place to Love was delighted to be back for the 2021 Kappa Kappa Gamma Tablescapes held at Dallas Country Club. The theme of this year’s table was a deconstructed snowman, brought to life with all of Frosty’s elements down to his mittens and nose; completed with a licorice smile and brussel sprout buttons. Highland Park Renovation

Martha's Vineyard Meets Dallas

Shortly after getting married, these newlyweds decided to make an offer on a two story Highland Park house where they would create a new life together. Going into the purchase, they knew the house would need to undergo a major renovation. Originally built in the 70s, the house had a very dark interior and broken up layout. When the couple hired A Place to Love, the project was already underway but not going as expected. Order was restored by A Place to Love and now the new couple has a place they love with a bright, inviting feel that is peaceful & relaxing. See the then & now...

Refresh on Villa Park Circle

Antique furnishings, new energy

Tucked neatly away from NorthPark Shopping Center, this single family attached home was purchased with the intent of downsizing and reorganizing for a more comfortable way of life. Downsizing from two properties, the collected art and antiques of these separate spaces would need to coexist in one; a Dallas home furnished with dark wood antiques and ornately patterned tapestries and a Santa Fe home with new textures and colors.

By purposefully editing the collections of antiques and balancing dark woods with painted pieces, A Place to Love brings a calming energy to the space. Double french doors separating the living room and dining room were removed to open the flow and the plaster molding was replaced with crown.

Kitchen Remodel 'Behind the Pink Wall'

Reimagined for Functionality

Seeking an aesthetic refresh and improved functionality, this homeowner was needing a kitchen that worked for her. Keeping budget in mind, all original appliances were reincorporated; some moved to new locations. The double oven was moved to the opposite wall where a pantry used to be, the refrigerator moved to where the double oven was, and the dishwasher was set flush to the counter. Moving the appliances allowed for additional counter space which would be covered in a gorgeous blue marble; matching the kitchen table. With the upper cabinets now stretching to the ceiling and the marble backsplash perfectly transitioning into the countertop, the kitchen becomes visually more linear - making it feel clean and uncluttered.
