Growing up in small town East Texas, Kilgore specifically, Sarah enjoyed entertaining and designing with her family...there were always inspiring new design magazines and cookbooks in their home...moving to Dallas to begin college, Sarah attended SMU before transferring to TCU...graduating in May, 1981...spending a few years in retail before beginning a career in finance in Chicago, later returning to Dallas...

Through the years, helping friends with their renovations, as well as her own, further developing an eye and knowledge for design...when it came time to make a career pivot from finance, with encouragement from friends, Sarah founded A Place to Love, LLC in May, 2017...

Sarah's own home is featured in a number of publications including Veranda Magazine, Dallas Morning News, as well as in many online blogs and posts...
